LICENSE REINSTATEMENTS

FIVE YEAR REINSTATEMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Serve the five-year denial period
  2. Obtain an order of reinstatement from the circuit court in the county where the last alcohol- or drug-related driving conviction occurred.
  3. Register with the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) for a Criminal History Check.
  4. File proof of installation of an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) equipped with camera and GPS features. Note: IID must be maintained for six months from reinstatement date without a violation. A violation will result in an additional six month extension of the IID requirement.
  5. Complete any outstanding reinstatement requirements such as completion of SATOP, SR-22 insurance and pay reinstatement fees.


TEN YEAR REINSTATEMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Serve the ten-year denial period
  2. Obtain an order of reinstatement from the circuit court in the county where the last alcohol- or drug-related driving conviction occurred.
  3. As part of that process, you must register with the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) for a Criminal History Check.
  4. File proof of installation of an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) equipped with camera and GPS features. Note: IID must be maintained for six months from reinstatement date without a violation. A violation will result in an additional six month extension of the IID requirement.
  5. Complete any outstanding reinstatement requirements such as completion of SATOP, SR-22 insurance and pay reinstatement fees.


Any driver revoked for at least one year is also required to take and pass the complete driver examination and apply for a new license.
